Thank You Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

I vividly recall the first time I visited the King Center in Atlanta. My husband (then boyfriend) and I toured the facility, closely examining the exhibits and memorabilia. I remember viewing the funeral wagon that carried Dr. King’s body and I burst into tears. I was overcome with emotions! In that moment I felt a range of feelings; sorrow, joy and gratitude. I am grateful for Dr. King’s vision, persistence, and faith. Most importantly, thank you Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. for allowing my family to “dream.”
