National Childhood Obesity Awareness Month

For the last three weeks, I have been so consumed with my oldest son Tallen’s sports. Practice, pictures, coaches, team moms, equipment, however, the best thing to accompany sports was Tallen’s sheer exhaustion at the end of the night. He was played out! (And so was I!)

Hour long practices, ripping and running. What could be a better lead into National Childhood Obesity Awareness Month?

September is National Childhood Obesity Awareness Month. In the U.S. alone, 23 million children and teenagers are overweight or obese. Scary right?

For the remainder of the month, I will be sharing my thoughts on how  mothers can focus on childhood obesity and how we can encourage our little ones to eat healthy and get plenty of physical activity.
